Introduction
There isn’t much to see at the Hassan Tower, but it’s one of Rabat’s most famous sites and is worth a stop. The Mohammed V Mausoleum is right next to it, and is a can’t-miss site in the city.

The Hassan Tower was built in the 1100s and was meant to be the minaret of a mosque. Unfortunately, the mosque and tower were never completed following the death of the Sultan, and the tower now stands at only half its intended height.
The Mohammed V Mausoleum was completed in 1971 and is considered a masterpiece of modern Alaouite dynasty architecture.
