Introduction to Place El Hedim + Bab Mansour
Bab Mansour is an old gate into the medina of Meknes. It leads to the public square of Place El Hedim, where local Moroccans go to buy groceries, meet with friends, and be entertained by performers in the evenings. It’s a great place to people watch and relax.
About
Place el Hedim was built around 1672 after Moulay Ismail, demolished half of the old city area of Meknes to make room for his palace.

Introduction to Dar Jamai
I always love checking out new museums and Dar Jamai in Meknes is one of Morocco’s best! It was previously a palace, and today houses a museum open to the public. Some of my favorite parts of the museum were the decorated rooms with traditional designs.
